Picnicka Bar & Restaurant
Overview
Picnicka is a European-inspired bar and restaurant in Tauranga's Elizabeth Towers development, designed by CTRL Space to bring the relaxed feel of a European picnic into a hospitality setting. We delivered the interior fitout, working from the design through to a finished space ready for service.
The Fitout
The project centres on a curved marble bar, arched brick and tiled detailing, and a four-metre dried floral feature wall. Timber cabinetry, custom seating and layered lighting run through the space, creating distinct dining zones within one cohesive fitout.
The Build
Picnicka was built within a busy new-build development, which meant coordinating closely with other trades on site while holding to the programme and the finish CTRL Space had designed. The result is a fitout that reads as effortless, built on detailed coordination behind the scenes.
